Unit 6 feedback

Hi Julie, thanks for your informative post this week. We covered a similar topic for our early adulthood page. Our themes were parallel but didn’t seem redundant, which helps our overall website maintain its strength. I like that you used many references throughout the text. In this context, especially, utilizing science is of utmost importance. With the sheer number of apps available it is unfortunate how many don’t use strong science to support them. That being said, your page started off very strong with research backing everything. However, the sections covering the apps you chose to write about, as well as the advantages/disadvantages were lacking references to support the claims made. Your page layout is great, with clearly labeled sections and content that fits the topics. I found no spelling or grammar errors when I read through it. Your photos added a nice accent to the page and the videos were helpful as well. I know that finding good scientific/evidence-based videos can be tough, but the ones you chose were in line with the content. Everything was easy to follow and did a good job of summarizing the topic. With our target audience of healthcare providers, I thought the introductory section was written in a way that clearly and strongly presented the information using evidence to support the statements. But I think it is important to maintain the high bar you set and carry that through all the way to the end. After all, if you are recommending apps for healthcare professionals to suggest to their patients, I’m sure that our colleagues would prefer knowing that anything  recommended on our website has sufficient science backing it up.
